Sell my horse!

Spring Creek has a variety of options to help you prepare your horse for sale. From schooling & education, advertising, photography, grooming & turnout to fitness & conditioning through riding and our treadmill we will have your horse looking its best year-round.

Our extensive network means we often have an influx of enquiries asking us to find suitable horses, so we can act as a sales agent for your horse if you are time poor, or do not want to deal with the stress often associated with sales.

How does it work?

Assessing & Listing

Horses are taken on by Spring Creek under our full service schooling system as a starting point. We then compile pictures, videos and adverts to use to campaign your horse.

At this point we would also assess any pre-sale competition schedule you had in mind.

Spring Creek will run appropriate adverts in targeted locations to get the best market reach for your horse. We also contact our own industry partners to find a suitable new home

Buyer Assessment

We field all calls and show your horse at a time that is suitable for the buyer, presenting your horse to the highest standard to potential buyers. For second round viewings we can transport horses to different locations and will also show horses for any vet inspections.

Our world class Facilities make viewing and assessing horses seamless for potential buyers with the ability to Dressage, Cross Country or Showjump all in one location, in any weather.

We work with you to close the sale and make handover to your horses new home as smooth as possible.

Ethics are important

Traditionally horse buying and selling is fraught with poor ethics. We run a very ethical sales barn and for this reason we don’t sell on commission. This enables us to honest when selling and recommend only the most suitable horses when working with clients as part of our horse sourcing service. This also means sellers don’t lose a proportion of their sale price to large commissions and costs are transparent for all parties.

When sourcing a horse for clients we add a 10% commission to the final sale price, in many cases we are able to negotiate on behalf of clients making this commission more affordable. In return for this commission we support buyers through the selection, trailing, vetting and negotiation process.

For more information about pricing please contact us, essentially for sales preparation each cost is on billed to the seller i.e.- transport, advertising costs, schooling fees. With the total sale price being retained, in full, by the seller.
